Greetings 8th Grade Families!

Our 8th Graders' Promotion Party is right around the corner and we wanted to send you important details and instructions about the evening of the party. We are all looking forward to this fantastic event, featuring DJ entertainment, catered food, specialty drinks, a photographer, photo booth, and more!

Party Details:
The Black Rock 8th Grade Promotion Party will be on Monday, May 18, from 6:30-8:30 pm, at the historic Ardmore Music Hall (AMH)
23 East Lancaster Ave, Ardmore, PA

Dress code is casual. Dinner and dessert will be served.

As for attire…anything goes! Kids can wear whatever they want. In years past it’s been “party-casual”. Most people last year wore jeans and t-shirts or jeans and a cute top. Skirts are fine as well. There are DJ games so a dress might be tricky if the kids are playing Coke and Pepsi. Sneakers are recommended.

If you have purchased a ticket for your student, we have your student's name on our check-in/check-out list. They do not need a physical ticket. You must purchase in advance.

Drop-Off/Pick-Up Instructions:
We highly encourage carpooling for drop-off and pick-up*. As there is no place to stop on Lancaster Ave in front of AMH, you will need to park and walk your student(s) up to the door for drop-off. 

Parking is available in a lot across the street, as well as in a lot off of Cricket Ave. You may also find street parking. *For safety reasons, we will not check-out any students if we do not see an accompanying adult.

Safety First:
We are expecting a memorable and safe evening! This is an off-campus event, and thus, we are responsible for the safety of all students in attendance. Parent chaperones will be present at AMH, along with AMH staff, to ensure that no student enters without being checked-in or leaves the venue without being accompanied by an adult.

Sensory Needs: Please send your student with ear plugs, etc, if you think they will need a break from the noise of the DJ. We do not have a sensory room available for quiet breaks at this event. We do have a small space for chaperones to take a student if they need a break from the crowd.
